WhatsApp Coming to iPad Soon!

WhatsApp is getting closer to coming to iPads, which is great news for those who've been waiting. According to the folks at WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is now testing an iPad app, and it's based on something called Mac Catalyst. They've recently rolled out WhatsApp for Mac (although it's still in beta) and even versions for Windows computers.

According to recent info shared by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has started trying out an app for the iPad that's based on the Mac Catalyst. In case you didn't know, WhatsApp for Mac (even though it's in beta) and Windows versions have been made available recently.

This new version is available for testing through TestFlight. One important thing to keep in mind is that if you want to use WhatsApp on your iPad, you'll need to be a beta tester for WhatsApp on iOS. Once you've got that sorted, you can make use of WhatsApp's multi-device feature, which recently got an update.

To link your iPad to WhatsApp, go to WhatsApp Settings and select Linked Devices. You'll need to scan a QR code provided there. This links your iPad to your WhatsApp account and syncs your iPhone and iPad so you can seamlessly continue your conversations on either device.

The good news is that this even works on your iPad without an internet connection, which can be quite handy. However, remember that since this is still in beta, it might not be as smooth as you'd hope, and it may not be available to everyone.

People have been trying to get WhatsApp on their iPads for a while now, and there have been some workarounds. WhatsApp's Will Cathcart has shown interest in this, but things didn't quite pan out.

We're still waiting for an official confirmation, but now that beta testing has started, an official announcement is likely on the way. We'll keep you updated, so stay tuned.
